Monopole towers

Monopole tower are made of a single pole or pipe. The height of the tower depends on the application of the tower, however, in mobile industry usually Monopole towers are available in 24, 30 and 36 meters heights. In recent years, Monopole towers have been used in electricity and telecommunications industries as well.  

These monopole towers are manufactured in 6 meter sections, and a 24 meters tower comprises of 4 sections. Sections are counted from up to down. For example, for a 24 meter monopole tower, section 1 is in the summit and 4 is one the ground. where its diameter is decreasing in the top, and the connection of sections is done by the flange. Moreover, Based on the design, towers flange could be in circle or square shape, which have been shown in following figures.

The connection of these towers to the ground is in tangly connection form, that generates great anchor to the tower. This issue must be considered in design form.

The design of monopole tower should be in this way if several operators installs their antennas, the deflection of the tower should not be more than 1 degrees.

 In addition, the tower should be well compatible with the equipments that will be designed, installed and loaded on the tower.

 In addition to the antenna, towers should be able to tolerate accessories load ( Feeders, Feeders Fastener, Antenna installation structure, other installation facilities and ....).

Features of Monopole tower

1. This type of tower has a slim design with a non-specific assembly pattern with a very high load.

2. Because of its structure, the tower takes up little space. 

3. These towers can be painted with optional colors to camouflage with the environment

4. These towers are very suitable for green environment embellishing, for the reason that they can be painted and have a structure like trees. As a case in point, they can be designed like the pine and spruce trees, can be painted matching the surrounding environment or can be painted like different flags.

Whereas the installation of this tower is section by section and performed by hoist, the location of the site should be in a way that could provide the hoist accessibility to the site.

At the end of installation phase, a vertical test should be performed by supervisor to ensure the tower is straight enough to meet standards.
